I want my political party to make fact based decisions on issues having to do with science. I don't want them dismissing something outright simply because it is inconvenient. This is especially prevalent with the issue of global warming. If global warming is not real, show proof. Show real, independent studies that confirm the world is not warming or that it is not man made. Stop saying there's some shadowy global conspiracy to cook the data and keep grant money. It's foolish, and it makes us look like children. I'm not saying to treat global warming as real. I'm saying to treat it as a serious issue, worthy of attention. Stop brushing the issue off as conspiracy, and start responding to the very real and very concerning level of evidence. If it's not real, say so. If it is real, say so. But make these decisions on the basis of facts and evidence, not on politics.
